Best in late spring and late autumn, 5mins from the boat ramp. Lots of mussel rafts that occupy the bay offer good reference points from which to target snapper. A moderate to shallow sandy bottom suits straylining with whole pilchard baits for snapper, or small ledger rigs for gurnard. Kingfish and kahawai also frequent these waters.
